Improving Access To Dental Care
EFFICIENT
We use already established dental practices around the nation and their infrastructure.
These practices and their participating clinicians volunteer to service our patients.
DONOR FUNDS & GRANT MONEY
Our model uses existing dentists and dental practices, translating into zero dollars wasted on constructing new clinics, dental practices, and infrastructure. Every dollar goes towards actual treatment!
For every $1 million raised, roughly 7,200 patients in desperate need of dental care can receive treatment each year.
GOAL:
HELP AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE
Since our #1 goal is to help as many people as possible, we naturally concluded that narrowing our assistance to a specific area or specialty within the Dental Field would be counterproductive and we basically would be just like all the other charities, “doing it the way it’s always been done”. Having such a broad goal and philosophy is what has ultimately led to a philanthropic culture that is both limitless and well-rounded. We’ve helped children that need assistance so they can see a Pediatric Dentist and adults that need treatment from Oral Surgeons, nonetheless, we collaborate with every specialty in the dental field.

Everyday Dentists and Dental Healthcare Providers are faced with tough decisions.
When a patient that can’t afford dental treatment contacts a dental office, the decision to treat or turn them away should be an easy decision.
OUR PARTNERS
In the past, most Dentists would only take on a few charity cases each year because they would be forced to write off the full cost of all expenses associated with the treatment rendered.
By partnering with Charitable Smiles, the dental provider or dental office instead volunteers chair time to provide dental services to Charitable Smiles' patient candidates.

“This tooth ache is a force to be reckoned with…” – “Haven’t slept in days because my tooth hurts so bad…” – “I just want to be able to eat normal food again…” – “Have you ever tried eating a salad with no teeth?...” “Half of my face is swollen…” - “My son has been sitting in class all day in pain…” – “The ER said my tooth wasn’t bad enough…” – “When I smile all the other kids make fun of me…”
The list goes on and on!
These are all quotes from real people…human beings…in pain…with nowhere to turn. Many of them have very little options and very little resources to help relieve the pain.
Sadly, millions of Americans in serious need of dental care lack the means necessary to complete treatment. Typically, they have two options; Live with unhealthy teeth and smile as little as possible or visit the nearest emergency room after severe infection sets in. According to studies conducted by the American Dental Association 136 million Americans visit the ER each year and 2.1 million of those trips to the ER are dental related. That’s roughly 1 dental related ER visit every 15 seconds and cost the U.S. Health Care system $1.6 Billion annually.
